FINAL THOUGHTS NOTES TO DR. HALBERT

You will need TWO piece of paper for this activity. You will write two separate notes (one labeled "My Paper and Writing" and one labeled "The Course"). Please write each as a note, not a list.

NOTE #1: "MY PAPER AND WRITING"

Why did you pick your topic?

  • What are you most proud of with the final product besides completing it?
  • What were the biggest challenges you faced with this project? What would you do differently if you could start over? Why?
  • What are your greatest strengths as a writer?
  • What weaknesses do you have that still need some work? How will you compensate for them?
  • What helps you the most in terms of the writing process? In other words, what steps can you take in future writing assignments to produce better paper?

NOTE #2: THE COURSE

  • Did the course feel like a college class?
  • To what degree do you feel the course helped meet the following learning outcomes intended for the course?
    • Compose a coherent thesis that addresses an audience and purpose appropriate to the writing task
    • Locate and critically evaluate information from written, oral, graphic, mass media, and scholarly sources
    • Access and use information ethically and legally, employing the appropriate format and documentation
    • Integrate research into an argument
    • Draw reasonable conclusions based on research
  • What were the weaknesses of the course?
  • What did you think of the monster theme?
