FINAL NOTES AND REMINDERS

REMINDERS:

  • Major Paper 1 Rewrite Due by Noon on Monday, December 15. Email paper with subject line "ENG 211: Rewrite" and rename the file following this convention: LastName_FirstName_ENG101_P1REV.docx
  • If you have an incorrect grade in gradebook, email me by Tuesday, December 9th. If a grade is listed as a hyphen, it means I haven't graded it yet. Do not contact me about that.
  • Final Grades are due Wednesday, December 17, at 11:59 PM. If I send them earlier, I will post an announcement to Blackboard that is emailed to your Montco account. Don't email me to ask if I am done yet.

IN CLASS NOTES:

You will need to write two separate notes (on two separate pieces of paper). Do not put them in your final essay envelope. Please write them as a note rather than a list. Each note should be at least half a page long. Put your name on each of them.

NOTE #1: The Research Paper

  • Why did you pick your topic?
  • What are you most proud of with the final product besides completing it?
  • What were the biggest challenges you faced with this project? What would you do differently if you could start over? Why?
  • What are your greatest strengths as a writer?
  • What weaknesses do you have that still need some work? How will you compensate for them?
  • What helps you the most in terms of the writing process? In other words, what steps can you take in future writing assignments to produce better paper?

NOTE #2: The Course

  • Did the course feel like a college class?
  • What were the most effective elements of the course?
  • What were the weaknesses of the course?
  • What did you think of the monster theme?
  • What would you change about the course if you could change it? What would you absolutely insist stay the same?
